MATERIAL & CARE

 Material

‘Higher Frequency’

14k Vermeil - Vermeil is 925 sterling silver base with a gold overlay of 14k gold. All vermeil products are plated to a minimum of 2.5 microns by our jewellery manufacturers in Seoul, South Korea in partnership with Soli Studio. Vermeil is sustainable, affordable and high quality.

925 Sterling Silver - A precious metal alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals. This is a standard base material in high-end jewellery and is also hypoallergenic.

‘Baseline & Accessories’

Gold / Silver Plated - All of our bases are solid brass, with gold or silver plating to achieve a perfectly smooth, beautiful finish. All our plated pieces are processed Nickel-free, so they’re sensitive skin-safe and hypoallergenic friendly.

Titanium - Titanium (Surgical steel) has the greatest amount of corrosion resistance and is designed for biomedical applications. Not only does it mean it's medically-grade safe, but it’s also hypoallergenic and maintenance-free.

Stainless Steel - Stainless steel jewellery resistant to corrosion, tarnishing, and rust making it very low maintenance. It does not require special cleaning or polishing and is generally resistant to scratches and other types of damage. This makes it a popular choice for everyday wear and for those who want to avoid the hassle of caring for more delicate jewellery.

Additional materials: Acrylic, Resin, Beads, Faux Pearls, and Fresh-water Pearls.

 How to care

To minimise prolonged exposure to moisture and chemicals that can cause tarnishing and wear, we recommend not wearing your jewellery while showering, swimming, exercising, or cleaning. When not being worn, it’s best to store your jewellery in an enclosed jewellery box or similar container, or in our felt bag, which helps absorb excess moisture.

To clean your jewellery, gently wash it with warm water and a mild dish detergent. Use a very soft cloth or brush to get into recessed areas. Make sure to completely dry your jewellery afterwards with a soft cloth to ensure no moisture remains to prevent your jewellery from tarnishing.

Stirling Silver

Cleaning silver with toothpaste can produce sparkling results. Dilute toothpaste with a bit of water, polish the silver with a soft cloth, and rinse. Note: Don't use toothpaste on silver-plated items, as it can corrode the finish. Baking Soda, Boiling Water, Salt and Aluminium Foil If toothpaste didn’t yield the results you were after, make the following chemical solution from baking soda, salt, boiling water, and foil to remove extra stubborn staining.

1. Grab some aluminium foil to line the kitchen sink or a deep roasting pan. The dull side of the foil should be placed down.

2. The next step is to place the jewellery onto the foil and pour boiling water over the items, until fully covered. You should then add 2 tbsp—each of salt and baking soda.

3. Stir the solution thoroughly to ensure the baking soda dissolves in the mix, as granules may scratch the metal. The solution will cause any tarnish to be transferred to the aluminium foil. It may only take between 5 to 10 minutes to see a big difference in your jewellery.

4. Gently drain the solution using a colander and rinse your jewellery in warm water, before drying with a clean cloth.

Note: We’re going to be honest; the solution can smell a little like rotten eggs… but we promise it’s worth it to remove years of wear in just minutes.

Plated Jewellery

Rhodium and 14k gold are very resistant to tarnishing; however, frequent exposure to moisture and chemicals may still cause them to tarnish. We strongly suggest protecting your plated jewellery from interacting with any harsh chemicals such as perfumes, hand sanitiser, soaps, and cleaning products to prolong the lifespan of the plating. If the 14k gold vermeil product is quickly peeled off within one year of purchase, please contact us and we can provide you with a re-plate service.

Titanium/Stainless-Steel

Place your titanium jewellery in a bowl and allow it to soak for several minutes. Use a soft brush to scrub the jewellery. Pay special attention to engravings and stone settings. Rinse your jewellery in warm water and dry it with a micro-fiber cloth. If the jewellery still looks dirty, repeat the cleaning, rinsing and drying steps.

How To Wear Infinite Hoops

Infinite hoops are a tube wire hoop that has a metal tube (the hoop itself) and a thin wire post (which goes in your piercing), and must be opened vertically rather than horizontally to avoid breakage. To open an infinite hoop, gently pull vertically to dislodge the post from the tube wire.

Be careful not to bend or twist the hoop excessively as this may cause breakage. Once the hoop is open, move the hoop(tubes) vertically to fit the post through your piercing. Just as how we opened them, to close an infinite hoop, you will need to lodge the post back into the tube wire to secure them.
